The 2016 Property Hero Awards, hosted by Building Engines, and sponsored by Genea, The News Funnel, Realpage, and ITS, focused on unmasking amazing individuals in commercial property management in the fields of maintenance and management.
The year’s awards featured over 2,708 votes, 32 finalists, and 212 nominations, with one runner-up and winner in each category.
The winner of the Maintenance Hero Award was Erik Aponte, of Butters Construction, and the winner of the Management Hero Awards was Catherine Bradshaw, of Highwoods Properties (Raleigh). Each received a grand-prize of $1,200, and a featured post in the Building Beat blog.
Our two runner-ups in each category were: Bob DePaiva of Colliers International, and Tony Maestas of NexCore Group. Each received a prize of $300.
