She knows how to handle any situation that may arise, including those that are emotionally charged. Betty Swann is able to recognize the feelings of others and use that information to develop a positive, productive work environment.
Betty really does a great job empowering the team to become greater than they already are. She also does so through her ability to clearly, articulately and effectively communicate with others. This allows all to understand exactly what’s expected of them as well as the role they play in the bigger picture that drives our team to success.

Interesting fact about finalist:
I am a “Closet Gourmet”….I love to cook! It brings out my creative side and I love nothing more than entertaining people. The really fun part is doing something out of the ordinary and making the guests feel special for an evening. Food transcends cultures and language barriers: we all flock to food and it brings people together.
What they love most about their job:
Everyday is an adventure! You never know what you will face when you walk through the door in the morning. Surrounding yourself with a dedicated team of professionals makes any catastrophe or difficult personality manageable. The average person has no idea what it takes behind the scenes to operate a building. Tenants arrive in the mornings to find a manicured lawn, the building dressed and ready for another day because a team worked to clean and secure the building overnight, there is a maintenance team a click of a button or phone call away to handle any problem….IT IS TRULY MAGICAL! It is much like an orchestra, everyone plays an important role and you know immediately if one person is out of tune.
The piece of work technology do they depend on most:
Smartphone with an APP for that! From tenants putting in their request via Building Engines to remote monitoring of the building automation systems, door locks, etc. You can do it all from anywhere – talk about efficiency!
